Former Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and former Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz reportedly denied to congressional investigators that they knew who funded the dossier containing allegations about Donald Trump’s connections to Russia. The Washington Post revealed this week that both the Clinton campaign and the DNC paid Fusion GPS to conduct the research. A source told CNN that Podesta told investigators that he was not aware of a “contractual agreement” between the Clinton campaign and Fusion GPS.
