Report: Saudi Arabia Has ‘Clear Link’ to U.K. Extremism

Saudi Arabia is the largest foreign promoter of Islamist extremism in the United Kingdom, according to a new report released by neo-conservative foreign affairs think tank The Henry Jackson Society. The group calls for a public inquiry into the role of the Gulf nation in terrorism in the U.K., claiming there is a “clear and growing link” between Islamist organizations that receive overseas funds and Jihadist groups that are promoting violence. Tom Wilson, who authored the report, said, “While countries from across the Gulf and Iran have been guilty of advancing extremism, Saudi Arabia is undoubtedly at the top of the list.” The Saudi Arabian embassy in the U.K. called the claims “categorically false.”
