Four U.S. soldiers who are members of a militia group called F.E.A.R., which stands for Forever Enduring Always Ready, spent at least $87,000 on assault weapons and bomb components as part of a planned series of anti-government attacks that included a plot to assassinate President Obama, according to Georgia prosecutors. The group’s intentions were uncovered during an investigation into the deaths of former soldier Michael Roark and his girlfriend, Tiffany York, who were reportedly killed after learning of the group’s plans. Prosecutors say the group planned to take over Georgia’s Fort Stewart, bomb a fountain in Savannah, and bomb a dam and poison the apple crop in Washington state.
