According to a New York Times report about the developing relationship between new Chief of Staff John Kelly and President Donald Trump, the latter recently lashed out after a suggestion from colleagues not to inject politics into day-to-day issues within the White House. After the heated moment, Kelly reportedly told other staff members that he hadn't been spoken to in that manner in the past 35 years that he has served the country in some capacity. He allegedly also said that he would not tolerate that sort of behavior in the future. The report describes the difficult way in which the president has tried to resist being handled while Kelly has tried to impose order on the White House, with has been in the throes of conflict since its early days.
