President-elect Donald Trump considered Tennessee Senator Bob Corker for Secretary of State, but nixed him after deciding he was too short and was facing too many insider trading allegations, the Daily Caller reports. Corker, 5'7", has been accused of investing in companies owned by his friends and donors. The allegations reportedly surfaced in a Trump transition team report, which included a document titled "Bob Corker: Mixing Public Service with Personal Profit.” The documents noted that "investigators appear to be looking into whether Corker's trades may have been based on inside information."
Multiple sources also told the Daily Caller that Corker's petite stature was a concern within the transition team. A Wednesday report by the Washinton Post claimed that Trump placed heavy consideration on potential cabinet members' appearances, allegedly scorning candidates with beards.
