According to Reuters, Putin mentioned a possible extension of the treaty—causing Trump to “ask his aides in an aside what the treaty was.” He then replied that it was a “bad deal.” Citing U.S. officials, Reuters reported Trump told the Russian leader that the treaty favors Russia.
