Donald Trump was reportedly seeking a vice-presidential nominee who would be willing to take over both domestic- and foreign-policy decisions should the real-estate mogul win the election this November. According to a New York Times Magazine report, Donald Trump Jr. personally asked Ohio Gov. John Kasich in May if he was interested in being the vice president. A Kasich adviser told the Times that Donald Jr. framed the role as “the most powerful vice president in history.” And when the adviser asked what a President Trump would be left in charge of, the businessman’s son allegedly replied: “Making America great again.”
