Report: U.S. Considers Laptop Ban on Europe Flights

The White House is reportedly considering expanding a ban on carry-on electronic devices on flights, CBS News reports. Laptops and other carry-on electronics are now banned on U.S.-bound flights from eight Middle Eastern and North African countries. The Department of Homeland Security is said to be considering expanding the ban to flights from the U.S. to Europe. While government agencies have not confirmed the rumors, department sources told CBS News’ Kris Van Cleave the expansion was “likely.”
