Report: U.S. Intel Probes Trump Adviser’s Kremlin Ties

U.S. intelligence officials are reportedly investigating whether Carter Page, an adviser to Donald Trump, has been communicating privately with Russian officials. According to Yahoo News, officials have been made aware of allegations that Page, who has business interests in Russia, might have discussed with the Kremlin the possibility of lifting economic sanctions against the country if Trump is elected to the presidency. The report also said that senior members of Congress have been briefed on Page’s Kremlin ties. A source said Page’s conversations with high-level Russian officials close to Vladimir Putin are being “actively monitored and investigated.”
