Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs is donating his broken glasses to the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Jacobs, who was body-slammed last week by Congressman-elect Greg Gianforte when he tried to ask the then-candidate a question about health care, received the request from the museum following the incident. Gianforte, a Republican, defeated his Democratic opponent last Thursday in the Montana special election, even after he was charged with misdemeanor assault. In his victory speech, Gianforte apologized to Jacobs, a former Daily Beast reporter.
