Rescuers Sue Woman They Saved

After injuries caused during the effort.

Two good Samaritans in Ohio have suddenly turned litigious. The men, who were lauded after saving a woman from a burning vehicle in 2009, are now suing the woman for damages. David Kelley and Mark Kincaid claim Theresa Tanner was at fault and that both were harmed during the rescue effort. Kelley told The Columbus Dispatch that he cannot carry laundry up the stairs anymore due to lung damage from the smoke and that he is haunted by images of hair melting on Tanner's head. The men are seeking up to $25,000 in damages. Tanner did not comment.
