Twentieth Television has announced a development deal with Ricki Lake for a daytime talk show—with a possible start in the fall of 2012. The hour-long show would tape in Los Angeles and cover topics like divorce, parenting, and weight loss. Launching her new show in the fall would likely put her in competition with Katie Couric’s expected talk show. Lake’s previous talk show was produced by Sony Pictures and ran from 1993-2004.
