After Ricky Gervais’s controversial turn as host of the Golden Globe Awards last year—during which he fired off a series of scathing and hilarious jokes at the expense of the stars around him—one might expect him to tone it down when he reprises his hosting duties this year. Not so for this host! Gervais tweeted a photo of himself poking fun at the plastic surgery–loving tendencies of his fellow stars. Posing in front of a plastic-surgery center, Gervais flashed the camera a wad of bills and wrote, “Some last-minute preparation so I don’t look out of place at the Golden Globes…”
Miley Cyrus knows it takes more than just one paparazzi shot to make a star (and a pair of short shorts don’t hurt either). The singer tweeted a photo of herself and a friend and poked fun at his apparently inflated ego. “@CheyneThomas is getting big headed! One pap shot and he wants 2 be the new Coco Water girl! Watch out RiRi!” she joked, addressing Rihanna, who was featured in a Vita Coco ad campaign last summer.
In a not-so-shocking development, “Tik Tok” singer Ke$ha has shaved the side of her head. The singer tweeted a photo of her rebellious-looking new ’do and let the image speak for itself.
Guess who’s coming to McKinley High? Glee’s newest celebrity cameo will come courtesy of Latin pop singer Ricky Martin, who will be guest-starring as a Spanish teacher on the hit musical show. Lea Michele tweeted a photo of herself with Martin and gushed, “He’s seriously the sweetest and such a great fit for our show!”
While most people dread working over the weekend, there are apparently worse ways for Sofia Vergara to spend her time. The Modern Family star tweeted a photo via her WhoSay page of herself getting glammed up for a day on set. “Working working Saturday!” she wrote.

Death Cab for Cutie front man Ben Gibbard isn’t letting his divorce from actress Zooey Deschanel dampen his winter fun. The singer, who has a known affinity for long-distance running, took his exercise routine out into the snow—and came out looking like Jack Frost. Gibbard tweeted a photo of himself post-run and wrote excitedly “SNOW RUNNING!!!”
With at least five starring roles in films planned for this year, 2012 is poised to be the year of Channing Tatum. The actor kicked off the premiere of his first release of 2012, Haywire, last Thursday with his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, on his arm. Jenna tweeted a photo via her WhoSay page of the smiling couple and wrote, “On way to Haywire premiere with sexy hubby.”
