Looking to throw a big party? Brazil will probably host. The nation is already hosting the World Cup in 2014 and the Summer Olympics in 2016, and Pope Benedict XVI announced on Sunday that Brazil will also be the site of the next World Youth Day in 2013. The pope made the announcement to the thousands who had assembled to celebrate Mass in Madrid, Spain, for the end of this year's World Youth Day events, an annual celebration of the Catholic church aimed at young people. The pope is due to return to the Vatican after a four-day visit, but thousands of Spanish protesters have complained of the high cost of the event as Spain is mired in 21 percent unemployment and a deep economic crisis.
