Will a few high-profile firings put the Republican National Committee's scandals to rest? Committee Chairman Michael Steele has given the ax to Rob Bickhart, the finance director who oversaw embarrassing party spending at a bondage club. Since reports of the payment broke, the committee has struggled to raise funds from big donors. Politico reports that Bickhart will be replaced by Mary Heitman, former finance director of the Republican Governors Association. Also reportedly on the chopping block is deputy finance director Debbie LeHardy, who listed boutique shopping trips as “office supplies” on official reports.
