The sole survivor of an on-air shooting that killed a TV reporter and cameraman was released from a Roanoke, Virginia, hospital Monday. Vicki Gardner, the executive director of a local chamber of commerce, was shot by a disgruntled former WDBJ employee as he killed former colleagues Alison Parker and Adam Ward. Gardner’s husband said the bullet that hit her came within “centimeters” of taking her life.
