Rob Ford is apparently quite certain that Toronto voters don’t mind if their mayor smokes crack multiple times or vacates his already minimal political responsibilities for rehab stints. Ford made it clear in an interview on Sunday that he is “excited” to run for reelection. He even plans to express his patriotism by returning from rehab on Canada Day, July 1. “I can’t wait to come back. I can’t wait to get in there and debate,” he said in an interview from his rehabilitation facility, GreeneStone. Bursting with confidence, Ford added “You are going to see a difference. You are going to see a healthier Rob Ford and I am going to win the election on Oct. 27.” Toronto voters may want to remember the old adage: Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
