Sirhan Sirhan, the man who shot and killed Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, was denied parole for the 15th time on Wednesday despite a plea calling for his release by another person shot that night. Former labor leader Paul Schrade, 91, said he believed Sirhan shot him but that a second shooter hit Kennedy on June 5, 1968 at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. He apologized to Sirhan for not attending any of his 14 previous parole hearings and pleaded for his release. "Sirhan, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. It's my fault," he said. The decision came after California parole commissioners said Sirhan did not show adequate remorse or understand the enormity of his crime. The 71-year-old stuck to his previous account that he doesn't remember the shooting.
