Robin Williams hanged himself with a belt in a bedroom of his home, according to the Marin County Sheriff Office. The beloved comedian also had "acute superficial cuts" on the inside of his wrist when he was found by his personal assistant Monday morning. "He was suspended by the belt in a seated position, slightly suspended off the ground," Lt. Keith Boyd said during a Tuesday press conference. He was last seen alive around 10 p.m. on Sunday, and his wife went to bed earlier than the actor, who then went to a different room in the house. Williams had apparently been receiving treatment for depression. Boyd said the investigation is ongoing and toxicology would be finished in 2-6 weeks. He would not say if Williams left a suicice note.
