Romney Is So Over John Roberts

Disappointed

No longer one of his four favorite justices.

John Roberts was once one of Mitt Romney's top four favorite Supreme Court justices but, ever since Roberts flipped the script and declared Obamacare constitutional, Mitt, like many other conservatives, is heartbroken. His campaign website still says that, as president, he "will nominate judges in the mold of Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Scalia, Thomas, and Alito" but in the same CBS interview in which he insisted that the Obamacare mandate is, in fact, a tax, Romney suggested Roberts might soon be crossed off that list. "Well, I certainly wouldn't nominate someone who I knew was gonna come out with a decision I violently disagreed with—or vehemently, rather, disagreed with," he said.
