Romney: ‘Morning, Y’All’

Mitt Romney greeted a group of campaign supporters in Jackson, Miss., with a cheerful “Morning, y’all,” as he desperately tries to win over voters in the South. “I got started this morning right with a biscuit and some cheesy grits,” Romney said. Mississippi and Alabama, which hold their primaries on March 13, have so far failed to be persuaded. Romney lost South Carolina in January to Newt Gingrich, and on Super Tuesday Gingrich defeated him in Georgia, while Rick Santorum edged him out in Tennessee. A Rasmussen poll on Friday showed Gingrich and Santorum virtually tied in Alabama, with Romney in third place, while Mississippi appeared to be up for grabs in some polls.
