Riding a wave of high-profile endorsements, Mitt Romney won clear victories in Wisconsin, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., last night, solidifying his place as the Republican frontrunner and presumptive nominee. “Republicans are unifying,” said Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, a recent Romney backer. “We won them all!” said Romney, in his Milwaukee speech. Romney is clearly treating the victory as the transition to the general election, lashing out at President Obama in his 13-minute speech and not acknowledging his Republican challengers.
