Romney Would Send Troops to Syria

Mitt Romney has finally weighed in on an issue foreign-policy makers are struggling with: Syrian intervention. “I think we have to also be ready to take whatever action is necessary to ensure that we do not have any kind of weapon of mass destruction falling into the hands of terrorists,” he told CBS News, adding that he would send troops to the embattled nation if it came down to preventing the spread of chemical weapons. Romney also said he would go to war with Iran to stop the country from “becoming nuclear.” President Obama has also said he would consider intervening in Syria if the government begins using chemical or biological weapons.
