It’s going to be a long election cycle. Crossroads, a conservative group affiliated with GOP strategist Karl Rove, is set to pour $20 million into attack ads over the next two months, pummeling President Obama over his economic policies. “It’s time to take away Obama’s blank check,” the first ad says. The group is just getting started, too: It plans to raise $120 million for the 2012 election cycle, according to a recent announcement. It’s speculated that President Obama may raise up to $1 billion for his own re-election campaign.
