David Paterson, the former New York City mayor is considering tossing his hat in the ring in 2010, "believing public anger at an ineffectual Albany and unease over the economy could create ideal conditions for a Republican to reclaim the governor’s mansion," The New York Times said Tuesday. The often-unpredictable Giuliani is sounding out state officials, drumming up potential support, and is likely to make his decision in the next 30 to 60 days, The Times said, adding that Giuliani "sees parallels between the current conditions in Albany and those in the city before his election as mayor."
