S. Korea: N. Korea ‘Must Disappear Soon’

On Monday, South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok told reporters that North Korea “must disappear soon.” Though North and South Korea have notoriously frosty relations (heck, they are still technically at war), it is rare for comments from Seoul to be so belligerent. The South Korean government is usually more restrained out of fear of increasing tensions with Kim Jong-un's regime. The comments follow a recent set of heated remarks by the North Korean government, including ones referring to South Korean President Park Geun-hye as an “old prostitute” and U.S. President Barack Obama as a “monkey.”
