S. Korea U.S. Ambassador Out of Hospital

U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Mark Lippert was released from a hospital after he was slashed in the face and hand by a knife-wielding Korean man last week. Doctors said they removed 80 stitches from the 42-year-old’s face. Authorities have not revealed a motive for why Kim Ki-jong attacked the ambassador, while Kim has denied charges of attempted murder. Kim shouted about reunification with North Korea and condemned the annual U.S. and South Korea joint military drills after slashing Lippert. “I feel pretty darn good, all things considered. I mean it was obviously a scary incident,” Lippert said at a news conference.
