Samsung Electronics is fighting tooth and claw to keep its smartphones and other devices on American shelves after losing a $1.05 billion patent ruling to Apple in a U.S. court a week ago. The South Korean company said it will take “all necessary measures to ensure the availability of our products in the U.S. market” in a statement. After winning the latest battle in the ongoing patent wars between the two tech giants, Apple moved on Monday to have eight Samsung devices tossed out of U.S. stores. The products—which are only a few of the 28 Samsung gadgets found to infringe on Apple patents—include versions of the company’s popular Galaxy and Droid smartphones.
