A female police officer in San Diego is expected to survive after being shot in the neck by a suspect she was chasing on foot. The suspect abandoned his vehicle after a car chase and began firing at the officer. Two other officers shot the suspect, who was pronounced dead on the scene. Authorities believe the unidentified suspect may be connected to a series of building shootings in San Diego.
