Sorry Newt. A CNN/Time/ORC poll out of Iowa released Wednesday had Mitt Romney back on top, with Ron Paul coming in a close second and Gingrich coming fourth, behind the once-longshot candidate Rick Santorum. Twenty-five percent of respondents said they are most likely to support Romney, with 22 percent throwing their weight behind Paul. The real surprise was Santorum’s rise—with 16 percent of respondents saying they would vote for him, he has tripled his support since the beginning of December. In New Hampshire, which goes to the polls for the nation’s first primary one week after the Iowa caucus, Romney has a strong lead.
