Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday that it would give $25 million to a "transition fund" set up by the World Bank to help countries whose economies have been strongly impacted by the Arab Spring. The kingdom is one of a group of countries—including Germany, France, the U.S., Britain, Italy, Russia, Japan, and Canada—known as the Deauville partnership. Together the nations plan to donate $165 million to countries such as Tunisia, Libya, Jordan, Egypt, and Morocco, with an eventual goal of $250 million.
