France will undertake an overview of modern Saudi art in a new exhibit at Musee du Montparnasse. While the Louvre has been displaying Routes d’Arabie: Archaeology and History of Saudi Arabia recently, the Musee du Montparnasse has decided to show off more recent artistic movements in the kingdom. One installation piece, Destruction Against Creation, by sisters Shadia and Raja Alem, addresses the September 11 attacks by incorporating Shadia’s art with Raja’s writing and poetry.
