S.C. House Fast-Tracks Flag Vote

TAKE IT DOWN

Decision comes Wednesday.

The South Carolina House of Representatives will now debate removing a Confederate flag from statehouse grounds after the state senate gave final approval Tuesday to the proposal, in a 36-3 vote. The House Speaker will decide whether to put the bill straight to a vote or to send it to the state’s judiciary committee first. State representatives will also have the opportunity to propose amendments to the bill.
