On Thursday afternoon, Anthony Scaramucci—the former communications director for the Trump White House who was ousted after a chaotic 10 days on the job—announced on Twitter that he was abruptly cancelling his live online event scheduled for Friday. “No Press Event Tomorrow: Focusing on Family, My Work in The Private Sector. #MovingForward Stay Tuned!” he tweeted. Scaramucci had planned to address the public about Trump and his dismissal, and CNN previously reported that the event would be broadcast on multiple livestream platforms, with an assist from former Fox News co-president Bill Shine. On Thursday morning before he bailed on his Friday livestream, The Daily Beast asked Scaramucci about which livestream services he would use, to which The Mooch would only reply “Standby” and “working it all out now.” Roughly four hours later, Scaramucci nixed the event. Scaramucci also denied that Shine was ever involved in the event planning, citing a “non-compete [clause].”
