An elementary school in New Jersey forced transfer students from Rwanda not to attend classes over Ebola fears. Rwanda hasn’t had one case of Ebola and it is 2,600 miles from the closest afflicted country in West Africa. No matter: Two students were supposed to start Monday at Howard Yocum Elementary School in Maple Shade, New Jersey, but will not be allowed to matriculate until Oct. 20. The students must complete a 21-day waiting period—the incubation period for Ebola—before they can enter the school. The school was also planning to take the students’ temperatures three times a day. “I think for another couple weeks. I don’t think it would hurt, I mean you have a lot of children that are involved, so I don’t think it would hurt,” said local parent Billy Dennison.
