Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown continues his campaign to portray himself as a bipartisan everyman with his latest ad showing him sitting down to eat at a diner while touting his bipartisan accomplishments. “The problem with Washington is that people down there are always battling,” he says. “That’s not how I operate. We’re Americans first, and I’ll work with anyone to get things done.” In the ad, Brown’s cooperative nature is rewarded with an extra cup of coffee, which, presumably, he hopes will translate to independent votes in real life.
