Sean Hannity ‘Informally’ Advising Trump

Fox News host: “I never claimed to be a journalist.”

Sean Hannity, the host of talk radio’s The Sean Hannity Show and Fox News’s Hannity, is said to be informally advising Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. According to The New York Times, Hannity believes that he’s “more honest” than the mainstream media because he doesn’t hide his bias. After reporting unveiled that Hannity is advising Trump on strategy and messaging, he admitted to the Times that he does, adding, “I don’t say anything privately that I don’t say publicly.” Hannity added, “I never claimed to be a journalist.” Several sources said they believed Hannity might even be gunning for a role in Trump’s future administration, though the host denied that as “laughable.” Hannity said, “Do I talk to my friend who I’ve known for years and speak my mind? I can’t not speak my mind." He added, “I’m not hiding the fact that I want Donald Trump to be the next president of the United States.”
