Sebastian Gorka at CPAC: Green New Deal ‘Is What Stalin Dreamt About But Never Achieved’

The former Trump aide labeled the deal a “watermelon”: “Green on the outside, deep, deep red communist on the inside.”

Former Trump aide and conservative firebrand Sebastian Gorka slammed the Green New Deal as a communist takeover during his CPAC speech Thursday, claiming it’s “what Stalin dreamt about but never achieved,” Media Matters for America reports. “You know what the biggest threat to America is? Not socialism in Moscow, socialism here in America,” Gorka said, encouraging attendees to “boo” and “hiss” at the idea. “It’s a watermelon,” he added. “Green on the outside, deep, deep red communist on the inside. They want to take your pick-up truck, they want to rebuild your home, they want to take away your hamburgers. This is what Stalin dreamt about but never achieved.”
