The Republican-planned filibuster of the incoming gun control bill is fading as a dozen Senate Republicans say they will not participate, and believe the bill should get full consideration on the floor. Majority leader Harry Reid says he will hold an initial vote on Thursday, and if 60 votes are cast in favor, the Senate will begin considering a series of new gun legislation. “We’re moving forward on this bill,” Reid said. “The American people deserve a vote on this legislation.”
