It hasn't been a great week for Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, whose much anticipated plan to get the finance industry back on its feet brought mixed reviews from economists on Tuesday and outright jeers from Wall Street, where the Dow plummeted nearly 400 point after his press conference. Geithner took the most heat for leaving key details of his plan out of his Tuesday announcement, and now Senators are demanding that he fill in the blanks so that they can figure out how to proceed in combatting the financial crisis. Testifying before the Senate Budget Committee, Geithner said yesterday that he has yet to decide on every aspect of the plan. "I completely understand the desire for details and commitments, but we're going to do this carefully," Geithner told the committee.
