These are the sentiments two Connecticut senators have conveyed to the National Rifle Association for making robocalls to residents in Newtown and urging them to oppose gun control proposals. In a letter to the NRA, Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy have demanded that the organization “immediately stop calling the families and friends of the victims” of the Sandy Hook massacre—a “new low” for the organization to stoop to just three months after the shooting. Newtown residents reportedly began receiving automated calls from the NRA last week, while others claim they’ve received postcards in the mail.
