Apparently there’s no retirement age for bank robbers. Officials in Chicago arrested three aging mobsters this week. Aged 69, 71, and 73, the three men had spent months casing a bank and were planning to break into the home of a late local mob legend, Angelo “The Hook” LaPietra. Thirty years ago, two of the three would-be robbers, nicknamed “The Monk” and “The Genius,” pulled off a major diamond heist from a London jewelry store. Their prize? A 45-carat Marlborough diamond. The three men will have a hearing next Wednesday. "No matter how old they are, they're still dangerous. What you have to realize is these guys don't have a pension,” said a former FBI agent.
