Police said a shooter aiming his gun at St. Luke’s Hospital was shot to death in San Francisco on Wednesday. The unidentified man climbed to the sixth floor of a construction site and pointed one of his two guns at the hospital, firing off at least one round before he was fatally hit, authorities said. No injuries were reported. The man, who wore white coveralls and appeared to be in his late twenties, climbed up to the site after robbing a Big 5 Sporting Goods store with a handgun about 10 miles away, Police Chief Greg Suhr said. The man then stole one of the store’s shotguns and ammunition shells before escaping. The man’s motives were not immediately clear.
