Lt. Brian Murphy, a 21-year veteran of the Oak Creek Police Department, was one of the first officers to arrive at the temple. Murphy was ambushed by the gunman, who shot the officer multiple times at close range, according to Police Chief John Edwards. Murphy survived the attack.
