Don’t say goodbye to Springfield yet. Sources told Entertainment Weekly Wednesday that The Simpsons’ producers agreed to take pay cuts to keep the show on the air. Some producers had indicated they would be willing to take a pay cut after 20th Century Fox said earlier this week that the show could not be sustained at its current cost. The exact details of the deal are still not known. The deal does not affect the voice actors, who Fox had asked to take a 45 percent pay cut while the voice actors had countered with a 30 percent reduction that Fox rejected. All sides strongly believe a deal will be reached.
