Former One Life to Live soap star Nathaniel Marston died in Reno, Nevada, on Wednesday after succumbing to injuries sustained in a car crash late last month, according to his mother. He was 40. Marston’s mother, Elizabeth Jackson, confirmed his death in a Facebook post that said her son “was not able to continue due to the traumatic and devastating nature of his injuries.” The actor spent nearly two weeks in intensive care after a car accident left him with a broken neck, shoulder, and ribs and a collapsed lung. Marston was known for his roles as Al Holden and Dr. Michael McBain on One Life to Live, but also appeared in Blue Bloods, Castle, and Law & Order: SVU.
