It appears that some Democrats are not in full support of the bill—although how many is hard to attain, since some are afraid of further dividing their party. A recent Gallup poll found that a majority of Americans want their elected representatives to vote for Obama’s $447-billion jobs package, but Bloomberg News reported Wednesday that 51 percent of Americans doubt the package will actually help create jobs. In a sign of the bills’ lackluster support among Democrats, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said he will put the package on the legislative calendar, but he has not mentioned a specific date yet.
