99 percent of votes want secession.

The official tally is in: Southern Sudan has voted overwhelmingly for independence, with 99 percent of the vote in favor of secession. Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has promised to accept the outcome of the vote and the United States has pledged to remove Sudan from a terror-watch list if it handles the split well. Still, there has been some tension in the oil-rich border areas between the two states, with 50 people killed over the weekend.
