Stalemate Looms in Libya

After a third night of airstrikes, the U.S. is “near its goals” for the initial strike on Libya, says The New York Times. But it is unclear what is next. The Libyan rebels have done little to capitalize on the support, failing to recapture Ajdabiya from Muammar Gaddafi and making a stalemate increasingly likely. Meanwhile, President Obama finally got around to officially notifying Congress about the military action Monday night. Republicans in Congress are growing increasingly critical of Obama’s decision to use force in Libya.
