Stars File in for White House Dinner

D.C. Prom

Justin Bieber, Madeleine Albright walk red carpet.

A somewhat odd variety of famous names walked the red carpet before the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner—also known as Washington, D.C.'s prom—Saturday. Jay Leno and President Obama will likely trade barbs when they speak to the gathering of journalists and celebrities. Following the White House Gatecrashers snafu, in which uninvited aspiring reality stars crashed a state dinner, invitations were strictly enforced. Teen sensation Justin Bieber made an appearance, as did Jessica Simpson, Donatella Versace, Marlon Wayans, Gayle King, Bradley Cooper, Madeleine Albright, and many top reporters and politicians. Several journalists will be honored for their work, including Ben Feller, Mark Knoller, and Jake Tapper for presidential coverage. Suzanne Bohan and Sandy Kleffman will be recognized for local coverage in Contra Costa, California.
